The action plans of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Abeokuta North Branch and that of Olaseni Lawal Foundation (OLF) have common goals for youth development programs.
This was uncovered during the dialogue session between the leadership of the youth council led by the Coordinator; Com. ‘Mujeeb Akewugberu and the management team of OLF on Wednesday 1st of May, 2024 centered on a robust relationship between the two bodies and making a plan for youth-oriented activities.
After highlighting the activities of the council in recent times and the action plans ranging from apprenticeship training, empowerment Program, care for the needy, and youth engagement on social vices among others by the Coordinator, the Olaseni Lawal Foundation was relayed to commitment to empowering marginalized communities through educational opportunities, healthcare access, sustainable development, and engaging social activities, with a particular focus on uplifting the youth.
The founder of OLF; Hon. Olaseni Lawal applauded the council for the thoughtful and well-structured activities which are germaine in ensuring youth engagement and development and in turn curb social vices.
He revealed the similar goals and plans of the foundation which makes the two bodies meet at equilibrium on youth oriented programs. He then promised a robust relationship in achieving the common goals of the bodies.
The Director General of the foundation; Mr. Femi Akinrombi was marveled and dumbfounded about the activities of the council highlighted by the Coordinator as an NGO hoping to work in close relationship with the council to achieve the aim of the foundation and that of the council and also to work vigorously on youth engagement and capacity building
